Frequently Asked Questions about Scentsy Products


Q. How long will Scentsy Candle Bars last?

A. They should last a minimum of 50-80 hours. It depends on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you like the fragrance.


Q. How many cubes should I use in my warmer?

A. Start with one cube then, if you want to increase the strength, add additional cubes until desired scent throw is reached. Only use one cube with the Plug-In warmer's.


Q. How many cubes should I use in a plug-in?

A. One cube. Wait until the wax solidifies before trying to change the wax. Plug-in’s will get warm so they should be kept out of reach of children.


Q. How hot does the wax get when warmed?

A. The wax will get to just above body temperature, so it won’t burn or harm anyone.


Q. How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?

A. While the wax is warmed and melted pour it back into its original container if there is scent left or into a lined garbage can if the scent is used up. While the cup is still warm, wipe it out with a paper towel. You can wait for the wax to reform and pop the wax out with a soft utensil. For the plug-in warmers wait for the wax to reform. Do not attempt to remove the warmer from the plug while the wax is liquefied. You may opt to absorb the wax with a paper towel.


Q. What wattage of light bulb does the warmer use?

A. A standard 25 watt candelabra base light bulb, found at any home improvement store. Do not use a higher wattage bulb as it could cause the warmer to malfunction. The plug-in warmers use a 15 watt bulb.


Q. Does the warmer come with a light bulb?

A. Yes, all warmers include a light bulb with purchase.


Q. How long can I leave my warmer on?

A. As long as you feel comfortable leaving it on. Think of it as a lamp.


Q. How long should I keep my party open?

A. About 3-5 days is the longest you should leave a party open. Leaving it open any longer will delay delivery of the products to customers.


Q. Do I pay shipping/handling?

A. If the party reaches $150, there is no s/h on any orders shipped to you the hostess, or to the consultant.


Q. Can a customer ship product directly, or to someone else?

A. Yes, if someone wants to ship their product to an address other than the hostess/consultant address, it costs 10% of the product subtotal.


Q. Do I pay tax on s/h?

A. No. Just on the product amount unless your state requires that you pay tax on s/h.


Q. What amount is the hostess benefits calculated on?

A. Just the product totals, before tax and s/h.


Q. How long until delivery?

A. Approximately 2-3 weeks from the time the party CLOSES.


Q. How do I earn ½ price products?

A. When one of your guests/customers books a party from your party you will receive a ½ price item at that person’s party.
